Solid Gold
The trio of Theo Creed, Max Harrison and James Fraser added yet another set of gold medals to their collection with a win at the Southern Cross Country Relays at Wormwood Scrubs on 18 October. This time out it was Theo who led off, completing the 2km course in 5:55 to hand over to Max on the middle-leg as is now customary. Max clocked 6:36, with James on the anchor leg finishing in 6:32. The B team of Cyrus Sheikh, Ivan Derian and Dylan Gilbert were 10th, and Fredric Bolton, Alexander Williams and Evan Cotter 24th, with Senan Smith running solo.
Representing the increasingly competitive U20 Men’s squad (over the 3km course) Thomas Homes (8:53), Alexander McGuigan (8:27) and Pancho Panchev (8:28) secured the silver medals.
The U13 Boys A team of Charlie Pearl (6:52), Daniel Albert Fitzsimmons (7:02) and Thomas Smith (7:14) were fourth over 2km, with Augustin Mowatt, Alexander Ruiz and Alexander Singer 22nd, and Luke Templeton and Adrian Fitzsimmons running as an incomplete team. Sisters Meis and Luna Bultan combined with Mia Smith to finish eighth in the U13 Girls race. Meis on leg one clokcked 7:52 over the 2km course, handing over to Mia (7:57), with Luna on the final leg finishing in 8:19. Martina Barbarosa, Isla De Broise and Luna Bhatt came home in 22nd, while Audrey Levesque ran solo.
In the U15 Girls race (also over 2km) the A team of Jessica Wood (7:28), Freia Harper-Tee (7:25) and Anna Wait (7:10) finished in fifth, with Freya McAndie, Blanka Domsodi and Gwyneth Morgan in 17th, and Rosie Richford the lone C team representative.
There was a seventh place finish (over 3km) for the U17 Women’s team of Ava McAndie (11:00), Isabelle Sparkes (11:05), and Leah Paulson (10:43), while the B team of Summer McDougall, Martha Eminson and Elizabeth Hartsock were 14th; while for the U17 Men, Harry Allen (9:08), Sam Dyson (9:04) and Max Barckhahn (8:56) were the ninth team to finish, with Owen Xu and Luca Grima running as an incomplete team.
