Andy Greenleaf was the fastest of the HW athletes at the Highgate Harriers’ Night of 10000m PBs at Parliament Hill Fields on Saturday 6 July. He was 16th in his race in a personal best of 30:37.75 seconds. Ben Toomer, visiting London from his New York base, also clocked a pb of 31:06:49 while Jonny Cornish ran a season’s best of 31:09:07. There were pbs too for Claire Grima (36:32.43), Richard McDowell (31:14.67) and Matt Sharp (32:07.96), while Andrew Penney put in some fine, measured pacemaking. Sadly Belal Ahmed, who is much happier racing on the road, had to pull up with calf problems.
